Welcome 2008-09 Team!!

I want to welcome each and every one of you to a brand new year of Xtreme Team. I just looked over the list of kids who have signed up and I am very excited about you all. It looks like we're going to have quite a number of kids this year already and some who have been out of town I understand are joining. I hope you're as excited as we are. I look forward to seeing you all at our first session on September 7th.

07-08 Final Event

Hey everyone. This Saturday June 28 is our final event of the 07-08 season of Xtreme Team. It is a totally different event this year than we have ever done before. It is going to be your job to solve the Mystery of a Lost Treasure and whichever team finds it gets to keep it. Come back here tomorrow (Friday, 6/27) to find out more details about the Mystery.

We meet at the church at 9:30. The treasure hunt begins at a certain location out of town.
We plan to return to the church between 2:30 and 3:00, but we will call parents on the way home.

• Don't forget to bring tennis shoes (for trail walking) and
• Lunch money (for fast food restaurant afterward).
• Also bring a watch
  

PLEASE talk your parents into going with us if at all possible because if we don't get enough parents to chaperon and carpool or we won't be able to pull this off!! Please call me if you can go.

Buried Treasure

Here is a little example of something that we're going to be doing this year. The following is an example of an audio story that me and my family put together for family night one night. It was a lot of fun. I'm posting this to show you how easy it is to make an average story come alive just by changing the voices and adding some sound effects and music. Of course the stuff the Xtreme Team will be doing will be Christian-based stuff (or something that teaches Christian values). But as you're listening to this see if you get any ideas of stories we might do. Enjoy!
