TRC Kids Join the Elk Grove Parade

The kids of the Rock church will be participating in the Elk Grove Western Festival Parade on May 1st, 2010.

Requirements:
All kids of The Rock Church from 12 years old and younger are invited to join us. All Children under 7 years old are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents will need to sign a consent form upon arrival for children not accompanied by an adult.

Time:
We will meet at 8:30 and the float is scheduled to leave by 9:00.

Where to Meet:
You will go to Rancho Drive off of Waterman Rd. (between Elk Grove Blvd. and the Waterman cemetery). There you will see a person at the parade booth. Let them know that you are looking for float #92. They will inform you where to go.

What to wear:
The theme for this year's parade is "Oh, to be ten again". We want our kids to dress very "kidish" preferably old-style as they would in WW2 generation to 50's (could be princess dress-up, tom sawyer-style, cowboy/cowgirl, Indians, or similar type costume).

End of Parade:
The parade ends at Elk Grove High School. Everyone will need to be picked up there. We will arrive there between 11:00-12:00. You can judge the time by were we are in the lineup of the parade.

Important Note:
Make sure to wear sunscreen and bring bottled water. Most of the children will be walking alongside the float. The parade is approximately a 3-mile walk.
